The BHCMG Executive ER is equipped to function as a free standing emergency department for the treatment of most non-life threatening urgent and emergent medical and chiropractic conditions. Traditionally the care of all urgent and emergent conditions has been provided by emergency physicians in one location within the hospital – the emergency department. The problem with the traditional emergency room is that the ER must staff and stock their department as if every patient is a potentially critical patient. The result is when a patient accesses the emergency department for a non-life threatening problem they must pay a premium for the potential resources that have been made available to them. In addition, patients are seen only after critical patients are stabilized, forcing long wait times. In order to avoid the emergency department some patients will attempt to seek treatment from general practitioners. Most primary care facilities, however, are not equipped with the tools necessary to provide the appropriate care to patients who need immediate intervention, forcing primary care doctors to direct their patients to the hospital.

We at the Executive ER believe that by focusing on patients with non-life threatening conditions during the day at a separate facility, the emergency department will be able to better attend to those patients who need immediate intervention. This will in turn provide a higher quality of care and streamline the hospital emergency departments, so when care must be accessed at night, by all types of patients, there is less overcrowding. In addition, musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, such as back and neck pain, are some of the most common complaints to the emergency department. Emergency physicians can intervene initially but when the patient leaves the department they are often confused as to where and how to access definitive care.

The Executive ER addresses all of these issues by offering the most highly trained, board certified emergency medicine physicians and medically based chiropractors who are able to provide treatment solutions for all types of non-life threatening emergencies, within the comfort and convenience of a fully equipped state of the art medical center.
